Brothers and Sisters,

I would like to share a quote from our prophet Pres. Russell M Nelson.

“The joy we feel has little to do with the circumstances of our lives and everything to do with the focus of our lives.

“When the focus of our lives is on God’s plan of salvation … and Jesus Christ and His gospel, we can feel joy regardless of what is happening—or not happening—in our lives.”

Where then, should we put our focus? We know that to survive spiritually, we need the focus of our lives to be on our Savior, Jesus Christ. Let us try to remember that it is by small and simple things that great things are brought to pass. Focusing on what we can control: family & individual scripture study, family & individual prayer, family & individual gospel study (Come, Follow Me), ministering, seeking out those in need etc…

I know our Prophet is called of God. I know our Savior is at the head of His church here on Earth. May we focus on the things we can control and find JOY in all our efforts to do what is right.
