Elders Quorum First Counselor

Hello Ward Family. Greetings from the Elders Quorum.  Hope this week has started good for everyone. We all have the same but different challenges of paying bills, shopping and keeping kids or ourselves busy in this new trail of a time.

I want to share a older talk by Elder Holland called Songs Sung and Unsung. In the April 2017 Conference, he opens up with this “There is sunshine in my soul today. Eliza Hewitt wrote, More glorious and bright than glows in any earthly sky for Jesus is my light. “ We still have that. Although Church meetings have been suspended, as well as the temple and other programs we as adults and kids love to do. We still can smile as Elder Holland says in his talk. This song is one of my favorite to sing in church. I love the sound and the spirit that it brings to the congregation in our ward. Indeed it makes me smile when I hear it.  We can share this sunshine still. We can minister to our families, our Neighbors and their families also to our Ministering families. We all need to be ministering. We can also Minister to those on the other side of the veil. We can do Indexing as well as Genealogy. We can prepare the work for those that are waiting for their work to be done, by having names ready. Indexing is a great way to pass the time and get those names that are needed to be found by others and maybe even here close to home. If you have questions on how to start or are stuck some where, feel free to call or text me. If I don’t know the answer I can get some one that does. I hope that everyone can feel the spirit still. I hope as we go through this we find the spirit of Christ throughout the day. I hope that whatever happens in your lives, that you still look towards Heavenly Father and find that Joy and Sunshine of his Love. I hope you find time to brighten someones day through text, a phone call, visit if you feel the need or the spirit guides you. I have a strong testimony of Heavenly Fathers Love. I am Thankful for this opportunity to continue to Shine through this weird time. I’ve been blessed to know that the Book of Mormon is true and having a living Prophet today to lead and guide us. May this week and other weeks bless you. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
