Brothers and Sisters, Good sabbath evening to you. We love you. This week in our Come, Follow Me studies we spent some time studying the Articles of Faith. They all, with the exception of one, start with "we believe". I've been one who enjoys the continued study of the principles of the gospel, the "we believe"s. The Articles of Faith are an important foundation to our beliefs and this is where I find myself learning and relearning. Article of Faith 1: We believe in God, the Eternal Farther, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. What does it mean to "believe in"? Merrian-Webster dictionary, "believe in": To have faith or confidence in the existence of (something)To have trust in the goodness or value of (something)To have trust in the goodness or ability of (someone) How can we apply this to Article of Faith 1? We have faith or confidence in the existence of God the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. I know, our Heavenly Father exists and is the literal father of our spirits. I know His Son, Jesus Christ exists (He lives!) and is the only begotten of the Father and suffered for our own sins and suffering so we can be forgiven and comforted, was crucified and died and three days later was resurrected, His spirit and body rejoining, never to be separated again and allowing the same for each of us. I know the Holy Ghost exists and is our key point of contact with our Father and Jesus Christ and through Him we learn truth. We trust in the goodness or value of God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. I know that Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost are so good to us. They love us and want us to return to our Father in Heaven. Their value in our lives is immeasurable! We trust in the goodness or ability of God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. I know that our Heavenly Father, His Son, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost have the ability to bring us to our Father and it's up to us to do all we can to receive this eternal blessing. We can do it! Our Heavenly Father loves us. I know it's true. He is perfect and knows us perfectly. He knows where we are strong and where we fall short and He, through Christ, the Holy Ghost and others makes those weak things strong as we exercise faith in them. As we believe in them, we are blessed. I know this is true and only by the directions of the Holy Ghost and through Christ's atoning sacrifice can we return to our Heavenly Father. Remember, let God prevail! Bless you all in your believing as you have faith in Them! President Noel Jackson
