Be Not Weary

Dear Brothers and Sisters, Happy Sabbath to you this beautiful day! Happy Father’s Day too! This past week the beautiful young women of the Washington Utah stake had the opportunity to participate in Young Women’s camp. We hope and pray that hearts were touched, testimonies strengthened and conversion to Christ’s gospel solidified. Thank you young women for being there! We hope the experiences you had were spiritually uplifting and strengthening. Thank you young women leaders, ward and stake! We appreciate your time and sacrifices to loving, helping and supporting these young women. Thank you YCLs (youth camp leaders) and head YCLs for your doing just that, leading. Thank you priesthood brethren for taking time to come and support and set righteous examples for our young women. Thank you to all those others who have helped make this year’s camp successful. This week in Come, Follow Me, we happened to study the section that contains the youth theme for 2021, ‘A Great Work’. Here are the verses from section 64 of the Doctrine and Covenants: 33 Wherefore, be not weary in well-doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work. And out of small things proceedeth that which is great. 34 Behold, the Lord requireth the heart and a willing mind; and the willing and obedient shall eat the good of the land of Zion in these last days. This past week at young women’s camp each day had a theme from these verses; ‘Lay a Foundation’, ‘Willing Heart and Mind’, ‘Be Not Weary’, and the call from our Prophet President Nelson, ‘Hear Him’. During this time of COVID it has often come to mind how important ministering is and has been. Many have been blessed because of your reaching out and blessing the lives of others. We so appreciate the well-doing that is happening. Now is the ongoing challenge; ‘be not weary in well-doing’. There is always well-doing to be done. We are so fortunate that this is the case. We know that when we are busy well-doing, we are doing well and we are on the right path. So be not weary. The Lord will bless you as you continue, for you are laying the foundation for a great work!
