Be Thankful

Brother Carlyle Wacker

Emergency Preparedness Coordinator

The Covid19 pandemic has created some problems for most of us, but when you think about it, things would be so much worse in a real emergency. We can buy most things that we need such as food, medicine, gasoline, etc. We haven't lost any of our utilities or our ability to communicate with cell phones and computers. With our ministering program in place, anyone needing help is getting help.

If being ask to wear a mask and practice social distancing is the worst thing we have to face in life, life is GOOD.

I hope the situation in the last few months will get all of us thinking about emergency preparedness. look at your supplies of food and water and assess your families needs. Do you have what you would need if you couldn't go to the store for a week or two, or enough water for that amount of time if our water supply was interrupted? If not, this is a perfect time to make adjustments.

I hope and pray we will never be faced with such an emergency, but we know how quickly life can be changed by a virus, or a wild fire, earthquake or flood.
