Brother and Sisters, We live in a blessed time. We are blessed with modern day prophets and apostles. We are blessed with freedoms to worship the living God. We are blessed with the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. We are blessed with another testimony of Jesus Christ, the Book of Mormon. We are blessed with miracles. We are blessed with our savior, Jesus Christ, who suffered for our sins and felt our pains, sorrows, fears and atoned so we may return to our Heavenly Father. We are blessed with a Father in Heaven who loves us and to whom we can communicate through prayer and who answers those prayer in a perfect manner. We are so blessed. (Hymn #241) We are blessed to hold Stake Conference on June 12th and 13th. We will have an adult session the night of the 12th at 7pm at the stake center and broadcast using technology. The general session will be the 13th at 10 am and will be at the stake center and broadcast as well. Please plan on attending either in person or virtually. We are excited for this opportunity. We are also so blessed to have Come, Follow Me. We pray that everyone is making use of this blessing by regularly studying by it. This year we are studying the Doctrine and Covenants in Come, Follow Me. This has proven to be such a wonderful resource in helping us in our studies and to come to know our Heavenly Father more intimately and Jesus Christ and his atonement more personally. If you have not done so, please start now. If you haven't regularly, commit now to do so. We know you will feel Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ's love for you and the Spirit will testify to you of the truths taught. This week we studied wonderful truths from Come, Follow Me. We read in sections 51 to 57 about being 'a faithful, a just, and a wise steward', how 'that ye may not be deceived', to 'stand fast in the office whereunto' we have been appointed, and to be 'pure in heart' and have a contrite spirit. Yet there are three words that are used at the end of all of those verses except one that stood out to me, 'Even so, Amen'. To me these words bring focus to each of the last verses of these sections. I'll leave the exercise to read these to you. Promises are given and 'Even so, Amen' acts as the binding to these promises. And so it is. Heavenly Father is mindful of each of us and and as a perfect father hears and answers our prayers. He sent his son, Jesus Christ, who atoned so we can have joy in this life and eternal life in the next. Joseph Smith is a prophet and through him the gospel of Jesus Christ was restored and the Book of Mormon given to us. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and is truly the word of God. President Nelson is a prophet. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. Even so, Amen.
