Hello Brothers and Sisters,
We hope and pray you are doing well and that your faith in our Heavenly Father and your service for others is carrying you through the hard times you experience. We love you. You are in our prayers and we feel your prayers as well. Please continue to service. This is how our Heavenly Father blesses each of us, directly and through others.
This week in Come, Follow Me we read Doctrine and Covenants section 76. If you have not had the chance to read it, please do so.
Verses 2-3
2 Great is his wisdom, marvelous are his ways, and the extent of his doings none can find out.
3 His purposes fail not, neither are there any who can stay his hand.
"Great is his wisdom", we can find great comfort in this. Try it!
"Marvelous are his ways", this brings such comfort to us, especially as we exercise our faith in him. We can experience miracles.
"The extent of his doings none can find out". What does this mean? To me it means in his perfection, he sees beyond our mortal vision and can and does help us, especially in ways we may not know, understand nor see.
"His purposes fail not", trust in him and his tender mercies. He will bless you.
"Neither are there any who can stay his hand". Who's on the Lord's side, who? We are, you are. We know that He is our savior and redeemer. He gives us the strength to carry on and lead out. As we are on his side, he gives us the strength we need as none can stay his hand. Ask and it shall be given unto you, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you. (Matthew 7:7).
We know that Christ did indeed atone for each of us; not only for the mistakes we've made but also for the pains, sorrows, fears, anxieties and other maladies we experience. This is how he can truly bring peace and consolation to our pained and aching souls. This is true.
Great is His wisdom! He lives!
